Lynda Learning Review - Is It Really Worth The Money?

When it comes down to it, the person who makes the most money on the internet is the person who has the most knowledge. The person who understands the search engines, code, marketing and web development is the person who is going to beat everybody out on search engine rankings, conversions and profitability.

LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! The hard part is finding someone to teach it to you. I have friends that are very skilled but they always ask meto teach them what I know. I never teach them because I could never find the time and they could never afford to pay me an hourly fee to do it. They always get mad. Finding someone to teach you what you want to learn for a price that is cheap is tough.

Lynda.com is a database of thousands of training videos for every piece of software that you can think of. If your site needs a new logo and you need to learn to use Fireworks then you can look it up and learn it in about 20 minutes worth of videos that give you hands-on software training. (Fireworks is a design program in the adobe master suite - I use it all the time)

I felt like I was missing a few basics in search engine marketing. I just thought that I might have spent too long in the details and not enough time in the fundementals. I logged on and watched about 2 hours of videos about search engines, how they work, how they index and what their goal is. It gave me the foundation that I was looking for and got me back on track. This service should be something that is as important to you as your internet connection. Just to give you another analogy as to how important it is. I am sort of a wannabe triathlete so I spend a lot of time training. There are people who finish every race. They don't push themselves hard enough to ever breakdown before it is done. If you don't ever push yourself that hard then you will always be racing at less than your maximum pace. If you don't have a subscription to Lynda.com then you are not pushing your abilities on the internet. You should always be working in a place that requires constant learning.
